Your truth stands at ease,
  even when we squirm.
This life of ours, while on lease, 
  not much higher than a worm.

Yet You love this living vapor
  surrounding a heart of whim.
We're more fragile than finest paper
  stained and marred with indelible sin.

Today's treasure, tomorrow's trash, 
  not so with things of the soul.
While two kingdoms collide & clash
  the King of one must be the goal.

The measure of words must be love,
  in inches of infinite grace.
We can do, once borne above,
  and run the Christ-like race.

Our key to being free
  is our trusting You,
    heeding You, though unseen,
      praising You as You are due.

The measure of acts must be faith,
  wrought in Spirit-led love.
We are running the Christ-like race,
  for we are borne-above. 

Our key to being changed
  is You loving us,
    molding us, in the Name,
      to be like Your Jesus.
