Allow your memories to slide across yesterdays
Path of impatience and into
Tomorrows wings of stability
Touch the present that is
In this unity, Speak our words in silence
Through motion create a conversation I have not had
Looking solidly through sorrows grasp
Telling the holder to loose its grip

For my smile has not faded
Thus the moment of the situation
Has not taken hold of my reality
I count my commitment to the dance I have not swayed to
Yet, I hear music as I stand
Distance has not engulfed my soul
Tears it has shed for times lost not times embraced
For what I can control has been controlled

In the shadow of the darkness I whisper a joy
To myself, a secret meant only for my own ears
A tale that recreates the vision which was before me
My path becomes crowded and my way unclear
I choose to control the footsteps allotted me in this
My life’s journey to live as I choose
To will myself to pave the road of my journey at all times
No longer looking at that which was but only
That which can be no other way….
