What’s Important
My Looks, My Game or My Lord
There are many things in this world that does not profit man in any way. These things are corruptible, wicked and sinful. Man is constantly after these things because of the fake crown that it puts on their heads. This corruptible seed inside of the inner man has been planted through vain glory and deceit. It comes to defile the Spirit of God that wants to come in and dwell in the inner parts of a man’s soul. God however wants to deliver man from the bondage of corruption. It is not God’s desire that any should perish but that the whole of mankind would come to the saving grace of the Lord Jesus Christ.
Galatians 6:8, for he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting.
In the times that we live in man is being constantly drawn away by the rudiments of the earth because of his with own lust for them. Man has a strong love for material wealth, financial blessings, and matchmaking of the flesh through lustful desires. Realization of what’s important has not entered the heart of that man or woman yet. There is a spirit of covetousness loosed in the earth and it is filled with envy, jealousy, and strife. This type of competition is destroying the very essence of who we are, even concerning the Christian. In the life of every Christian Jesus is supposed to be the fix it man. Jesus will fix all that is wrong in the life of the Christian. Jesus will fix our needs and if we are running for him with all of our hearts, he will fix us with what we want also. We must figure out what is important to us, our looks, our game, or our Lord.
Not following what is important to God will cause us to get weary and weak along the way in our walk. Our heart for God will fail and we feel worthless, physically and mentally fatigued, impatient or tired in our walk with God. Anything other than God’s way is unimportant and is lustfully delightful. How you are perceived by man is from the illumination given off in your own walk and actions. Be ye not deceived, God is not mocked, whatsoever a man soweth in his life, he will in one way or the other reapl
Many Christians lean to there own understanding and love what they love without realizing that they are making the things they love idols because they allow those things to make them do wrong when it is their desire to do right. Their flesh overrides good common judgment. What is important to you will cause you to do right or wrong. It also will make you do things you never thought that you would.
Looks, looks can be deceiving. What you see may not be what is at all. Is looks that important that I will use them to do wrong? Will I use my looks to lie, steal, deceive or make unlawful gain in this world? Looks can turn heads, lure the wrong attentions, cause one to go in a certain direction away from God and His will for your life, and looks appeals to the eyes of others conforming to what they like and they will act or respond in a way that will destroy their lives forever. Now looks on the other hand can be good. It is good to look into every situation and find the facts of the matter, gaze at what is before you with enough interest to hear what they are saying and if it is pleasing or not and rather their looks are critical, cold, or disdainful. We must discern every look one gives off to search out the spirit operating on the inside whether it is pure or not.
Check out their game. Many times people have run games on the church, the Christian and thought they were fooling God. It is one’s way of amusing themselves really because they have played games for so long that it is a way of life now. Games are played to divert one from the truth of whatever the matter is. It causes one to not deal with what is really in their hearts. The rules of these game played is set only by them, so they are selfish. The competition of the game is usually on their terms. They do not have a point system, but they do remember what they did or said the last time, not to be caught in a lie. Many have made a vocation of playing games in the church, but these games have costly consequences.
My Lord, they finally got to know Him. He is the highest ranking being that ever walked the earth. He left a path for man to follow but they reject Him. He went to heaven to prepare a place for us but yet we put everything before Him. How does he feel when we as his people put people, places, and things before him? We are so immature when it comes to our Lord and we are insignificant in life when he does not preside at the head of it. Christ is Lord: He is the hope of glory.
We must make up our minds what is important to us today. It is not in your looks or playing games but it is in coming to know Jesus, the Lord of your life. He is here waiting for all to come unto Him and learn of Him. He is the alpha and omega, the beginning and the end. Where are you going without Him?
We need him everyday and it’s just as important as the air we breathe. Without it we will not exist. Jesus himself is life and life forever more.
