Today Is What It Is

Today I sit at my desk and as I continuously write the date on my deposits to the bank, I can’t help but remember that it is my tenth year anniversary to my deceased husband. I remember the good times and most of all I realize what is in my heart. Dear God what did happen to him? I know we are not to question God with our doting but I want to know who it is that hurt him. I love him and miss him so much.

Today is what it is, but someone made my day this way, it was not of my own choosing. They took someone away from me that was always there, he loved and was loved and he will always be a part of my heart. My heart aches for him, to hear his voice, to feel his arms around me, to walk with him hand in hand and to feel his gentle loving touch. Yes I miss him, today is what it is. Happy Anniversary Wilbert.

God remembers too. He remember the day we came to him, the day we sinned against him, the day we walked away from him, and he remembers that we are flesh and if we do not render our members to him out of a pure heart. He will massage our hearts so that we fill it with his Word and his Spirit. In the day you hear his Word apply it to your heart. When you apply his Word to your heart it will help you to keep walking and following his footsteps. He will touch us in our infirmities. He will change the actions of the old man and fill those areas with his love and righteousness. My husband showed me a different lifestyle and we can live Godly in this time. Just as the natural man knows how to treat his wife, so God knows how to take care of all of your life.

Remember, recall what God has said, renew your mind in the spirit man. Think about God again, to know him in a real way with more effort and determination as never before. God wants to keep us and he wants us to keep him love ever before man that they become new everyday like you just met him. He wants us to be worthy of his calling showing him proper reverence and respect as we live in this earth that he would be glorified. God never keep secrets from us, he have revealed himself from his throne. He has greeted his people with compassion and wants us to show how much we love him. How do we do this? We keep in remembrance that God is today, tomorrow and forever and he is worth celebrating. The Word is the reminder that today is what it is. We must honor the Lord for all that he has done, doing, and will do. One day with God is as a thousand, how can we forget who he is?

Separate your self today, put a distance between what will keep you from worshipping God. Otherwise we merely exist in this world that is not our home. We are incapable of making things happen in our lives and to depart, go away. But I know someone that loves and will help us to go through whatever we face today if you will trust Him. Don’t eliminate yourself from God, move away from him, or distance yourself from the Word and works of the Lord. Stop going every where, stop changing churches every six months, and please realize the company you keep. Satan’s job is to keep one bound, be careful of what people tell you. They most times have a hidden agenda and will stop the vision of God. They will make you renege on your commitment to God. We will fail to carry out our promise and commitment. Be careful that you do not interpret what you hear out of your mind and not the heart of God. God is a spirit and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and truth. No man can serve two masters.
