We all know the song "This little light of mine." That song was taught to us all by an young age. I imagine that us being kids did not know the true meaning of that song. Now we can look back on our childhood days and truly live that song. We can live it in front of the youth so the whole world light can shine.
Through electricity lights turn on and if we do not pay our bills, the lights will turn off. I believe everyone will agree that lights will help you see in darkness. So, we all can agree that the job for lights is to light up an area.
Well, my family it's more to lights. It makes me think about an old saying "time will bring about a change." It surely will, a change of thoughts and of lifestyles.
Today I can share with you that "we are lights." Just like lights turn on and off so do we. Through Christ our lights will never go off. Yes, so that means that we are like Motel 6 "we'll leave the lights on for you. Our lights stay burning by getting intimate with God.
Knowing that our lights will turn off if we do not pay our "spiritual bills." It is our job to let our light shine and to bring others out of darkness. That is what Jesus did for us, and I thank God for it. Too many of us takes things for granted.
It is a blessing to be a blessing to others. It does not matter if it's through finances, gifts, encouragement, or prayers it is still a blessing.
So I am asking you to continue to let your let shine for Jesus. Let your light shine so others can see and you will eventually be able to bring them out of darkness.
Sometimes when we go through things, we are going through them for someone else as well.
This little light of mine, Im going to let it shine. Are you?
