Our resolve is fueled by integrity. Our integrity is built by perseverance. And our perseverance is found within the forge of suffering for what is right. Only those who are willing to stand for what is right and stand against the tide of immorality and unrighteousness have any hope of knowing true integrity. And, without integrity, our resolutions are as worthless as a hastily made New Year's resolution.
A man is still only as good as his word. For our word is built by our tested integrity. And our integrity is tested only in the maelstrom of suffering triumphed over by perseverance. Without integrity, we have no credibility. And, without credibility, we will constantly fight and uphill battle. And we will be losing.
Our ability to function within the Cause of Christ rests fully upon our resolve. If we do not resolve to submit to the Cause of Christ, our lives lose their purpose and we lose grasp of our sanctification. If we do not resolve for righteousness, we will resolve for selfishness. And, if we resolve for selfishness, we enslave ourselves again to sin.
Resolution, born of integrity, sealed with perseverance, is tantamount to a disciple's walk. Without resolve, we are good for nothing. Without resolve, we are nothing.
* A disciple develops integrity by perseverance through suffering
Application - Do I possess the resolve to be of use to the Cause of Christ? When have I last suffered for my God?
