Wondering through the streets,
tattered shoes on my feet.
Looking for food again,
looking for just one friend.
Nothing in sight for me,
living in misery.
Can't afford any rent,
living here in a tent.
Burdened down with some sin,
look at the shape I'm in.
Thankful it's not raining,
slowly my life's draining.
In the halls of my mind,
I treat me so unkind.
Hating the place I'm in,
lost in this thing called sin.
Someone has come my way,
drags me down every day.
I can't find hope for me,
lost here in misery.
One day I met a man,
He told me that I can.
He said He'll die for me,
take my sins and make me free.
The Son shines every day,
He taught me how to pray.
He makes me feel so whole,
He came to save my soul.
He comes into my heart,
giving me a new start.
To save me through His Son
Jesus the Holy One
Now as I live my life,
I don't have to think twice.
Jesus is here in me,
was blind but now I see.
Jesus, He is my guide,
for my sins He has died.
He's showing me the way
He's teaching me to say
In Jesus' name amen.
