In the midst of the storm
We rest in the knowledge
That the strongest winds,
The highest waves,
The deepest floods
Will recede and sunshine will come.
In the midst of the storm
Hope calms.
In the darkest night
We rest in the promise
That the severest sorrow,
The longest suffering,
The harshest pain
Will give way to dawn’s joy
In the darkest night
Hope withstands.
In the center of affliction
We rest in the assurance
That the hottest flames,
The longest drought,
The fiercest famine
Will not consume us
In the center of affliction
Hope sustains.
In the valley of death
We rest in the proof
That the gravest offense,
The vilest sin,
The basest evil
Will cause no fear
In the valley of death
Hope reigns!
Christ is the Light of the World
The Bright and Morning Star,
Our Living Water,
Our Hope in Glory.
He calms us in the storm
Outshines the darkest night
Perseveres with us in affliction
Eternally reigns in heaven.
Through it all, He is our HOPE!
