ADD TO MY FAVORITES
who fit my mold.
Sights turned inward.
My heart turns cold.
Come sit by me,
before they come.
My favorites,
and not a bum.
The hymns begin.
I sing out loud.
My love for God,
but heart not bowed.
It’s time to pray.
I know each word.
For those who don’t,
they are absurd.
I’m looking left.
I’m looking right.
All favorites
surround me tight.
This is cozy.
I’m right at home.
A perfect place,
no need to roam.
The message says,
No favorites
for God or you.
Conviction hits!
I bow in shame,
repent my sin.
Please sit with me,
all who come in.
For God’s Kingdom
is built on love,
for all who call
on Him above.
Rejoice in God!
He loves us all.
No favorites!
Please hear His call.
Embrace the Lord,
for He is good.
He died for us,
hard cross of wood.
His hands were pierced,
His feet were nailed,
to show the world
that Satan failed.
For us, His kids,
His love is strong.
No favorites!
To do is wrong.
Come sit by me,
all those who come.
Worship with me
the true Kingdom.
