LAMSA BIBLE
Over my fifty years of prayer and study, I have found, sadly, few who apply themselves to serious study of the Bible;and related writings. Not that I, or anyone else, can judge others, rather, that others can be helped . This is, in our opinion, a good way to get seekers on track.
Let us take one small example for this writing; Jesus as the son of God. So many will say, Jesus is God. Others will say, He is the son of God, still others, He is both. If we look only at the Bible writings we are still able to see which is correct. We start in the Old Testament and work upwards to the New Testament .
Isa 6:6-8 Then flew one of the seraphims unto me, having a live coal in his hand, which he had taken with the tongs from off the altar: And he laid it upon my mouth, and said, Lo, this hath touched thy lips; and thine iniquity is taken away, and thy sin purged. Also I heard the voice of the Lord, saying, Whom shall I send, and who will go for us? Then said I, Here am I; send me.
Now most will say that this is Isiah making this statement; perhaps, but Isaiah in what state of existence ? That however is another subject. Now look at what Jesus said. Joh 17:14 I have given them thy word; and the world hath hated them, because they are not of the world, even as I am not of the world. Joh 5:36 But I have greater witness than that of John: for the works which the Father hath given me to finish, the same works that I do, bear witness of me, that the Father hath sent me. Now look at this Scripture also. Isa 6:9 And he said, Go, and tell this people, Hear ye indeed, but understand not; and see ye indeed, but perceive not.
Mat 13:13 Therefore speak I to them in parables: because they seeing see not; and hearing they hear not, neither do they understand.
Joh 20:17 Jesus saith unto her, Touch me not; for I am not yet ascended to my Father: but go to my brethren, and say unto them, I ascend unto my Father, and your Father; and to my God, and your God.
If Jesus was God, then how could God have sent Him and not Himself? One reason is this: Joh4:24 God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth. Worship Him in spirit and truth ! This is not as easy as it appears.
Can one worship Him in truth if one does not really know what the truth is ? Hardly; I have heard many teaching false things about the scriptures, and it is a heavy burden for those that do such. Paul, the apostle said, let not many be teachers, for it is a heavy burden. You are required to give account for what you teach others if they follow it !
Little is told of Jesus and His early days of life; however, the time He spent in Egypt as a child until the time of His manhood should be considered closely. Many things were learned in Egypt while He was there. To just ignore this, or take the stance the Egypt is all evil, is wrong. Much good knowledge has come from there also.
It is unfortunate that we have such a limit on what may be said here; however, it is a start! For those who are serious about learning the truth of the Bible, may this be of help to many.

This may have been better suited for the general submission section because it did not touch on the topic at all. Also your last paragraph about being limited made me think you wanted to write a longer paper on this subject and there isn't a word limit for the general submissions.
For me personally, the opening paragraph turned me off just a bit because I felt like I was being lectured. I was glad that I continued to read, however, because you brought up some good points. You also made me stop and think and want to study the Bible more which are both good things. There is a blogging contest going on right now entitled God Speaks. This seems like it would be a great fit for you and another avenue to get the messages that God lays on your heart out to more people. I wish you luck as you continue your journey to spread the word of God to others. You do have a knack of relating the Scriptures so that others can understand.
