The truth remains that every disciple of Jesus Christ knows who he or she has believed. Christ, the truth, the way and life is coming again.
He assures, "Let not your heart be troubled; believe in God, you believe also in Me...
I will come again and receive you to Myself, that where I am, there you may be also."
To many, it seems the Lord delays His coming. Will He delay it forever?
No!
The Lord declared some events that will herald His coming again in the scriptures. There is a noteworthy event that remains unfulfilled, and He will never deny Himself. It is, "And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in all the world as a witness to all the nations,..."
This confirmed His commission to all His disciples to "go therefore and make disciples of all the nation..."
Fathers in the faith had faithfully obeyed this command which gave birth to past great revivals and crusades.
Examples are
*the 1930 revival in Nigeria, West Africa;
*Welsh Revivals before 1904;
*First to Fifth Great Awakenings (between 1792 and 1880;
*Welsh Revival 1906;
*Stewarton and shorts 1625-1630; and so on.
Testifying to what disciples knew about Jesus remains uncompleted, "...and you shall be My witnesses in Jerusalem, and in Jufdea, and in Samaria and to the uttermost parts of the earth."
Those great revivals took perfect care of
1. Jerusalem(s)- capitals;
2. Judea(s)- divisions;
3. Samaria- regions of nations .
They shook those places for the Lord.
The uttermost parts of the earth remained unreached!
The Lord knows this and He stirred some disciples in the spirit to employ the media, print and electronic, to reach those that were not yet reached. These further penetrated into more parts of the earth with the gospel.
It is on record permanently that Johannes Gutenberg was the first European to use movable type printing in around 1439. Among his many contributions, the first major print work was the Bible in Latin, printed probably between 1452 and 1454 in German city of Mainz.
This great effort was yet to avail every nation the opportunity to hear the Good News as a testimony against them.
The end of the earth have been given to the Savior and the church should not rest until He whose right it is shall come and reign.
The Alpha and the Omega knew it was coming: the opportunity to reach uttermost parts of the earth with ease by revolution brought by Information and Communication Technology, ICT.
ICT was born to spread the Gospel, although it is used for other things- good, bad or ugly. By it, the world has turned into a global village.
With just a click on a desktop or laptop computer or any mobile device, you can reach any part of the world with the word of God- irrespective of your location.
The social networks like Facebook, Netlog, and many others, are great opportunities to come across people of all races. You make friends by a click and maintain the relationships with clicks.
Thanks to God that disciples today are not slacking in understanding and utilizing the awesome opportunities offered by the Internet to be Savior's witnesses to the end of the earth.
No doubt at all that the second coming of Jesus is nearer than ever because the Gospel is spreading faster to every noonk and cranny of the world.
May the Lord help us His to ignite the fire of The World Revival by clicks. This is an appropriate response to the need of this hour.
The encouragementt we receive from The Holy Bible is: "One generation will commend your works to another; they will tell of your mighty acts.
They will speak of the glorious splendour of your majesty, and I will meditate on your wonderfully works. They will tell of the power of your awesome works, and I will proclaim your great deeds."
This disciples can attain with clicks until the uttermost parts are reached.
