An era is a period of time.
It may or not be considered prime.
Sometimes determined by circumstance,
History’s events that happen by chance.
A stage in development it can be.
For the world, the nation or you and me.
The Precambrian some consider first.
We know God was working unrehearsed.
Other eras in the Bible we find.
The Pre Flood period comes to mind.
The Colonial era of the US
Tells of courage, fortitude and stress.
The Progressive Era saw reform.
To vote now women could perform.
The present era is Modern, so they say.
We wonder what will come another day.
Maybe the era of technology.
Guess we will just have to wait and see.
In you life, what era is present now?
Would you change it if you could somehow?
Infant, child, adolescent or adult,
Or is senior citizen your result?
Most important, I hope and pray it’s true,
Pre Christian to Present Christian describes you.
