Devotion, trust and dependence, for everyone to plainly see, describes this little animal.
The family pet is her title but she is known as, 'mama's baby.
Busy, inquisitive and loving she is.
My home is her home,my space is her space too.
She shares everything, my home, my space, my time, my food, my bed, my money, and everything else in my life.
Dolly Dolly can be described as a mischievous, frolicking, racing, climbing streak of grey.
Balls of partly unrolled yarn of various colours, toy mice and catnip toys can be found in every room. A plush bed, a cat tent, a cardboard box serving as her 'den', and her own tiny chair are witnesses to the fact that a cat definitely lives here.
Never having 'cat peers' to play with she likes to play 'chase' like a puppy. She also plays cat games with my, but trusts no one else to play these games with her.
Dolly Dolly also likes to go for walks on a leash, or draped over my shoulder.
This tiny bit of wonder wrapped itself around my heart when only one month old. Her mother, a little stray cat, that my brother took in, died when the baby Dolly Dolly was only three weeks old so she never really knew any other mama but me. No mama cat to teach her the things of 'cat hood' she has always clung to me; fearful of strangers and loudness, knowing I will protect her.
This tiny animal that has captured our hearts and shows such love and dependence is truly a gift from God, and I am truly blessed to have her.
Dolly Dolly is her name but she is Love.
