These are my childhood memories. The most prominent figure for me, as for most I am sure, was my father. A man whose voice was so deep most of my friends would even be scared to talk to him. A man so composed that you, almost without knowing it, would pour out your heart to him. I would get injured and the first person I would run to was my father. It was more of instinct to me to run to my father. He was the rock, the person who I could always rely on. It is a very curious matter, the child’s memory that is, that a child will run to a father or mother who a few minutes back, emphasis on a few, spanked him for wrong doing the second any little thing happens to him. Another notable memory of my child hood were my dreams. Not only were they so fickle but almost all of them were absurdly unrealistic. For one I had always dreamed of making a Robot that was the height of a three story building and would break up into five lions, like the old Japanese animated series Voltron: Defender of the universe. The thing is it kind of gets worse when children group up together and start talking. I remember my friends and I planned on having an A-Team thing going on for us except instead of having a black bus we would use and aero-plane and unlike the A-Team we would have families. Oh the unrealistic plans of childhood.
The people who will read this are past childhood, most likely although there might be special cases, and have most likely lost the childhood tendencies stated above. Children are dreamers and are not afraid to experiment or to try things and generally we as either young adults or adults have lost this. We tend to live as creatures of habit and do not usually take changes well. The heart of a child is what we should seek to have, we should yearn to be as forgiving or you can even put it as being as forgetful of another person’s wrong towards you as a child is. When problems arise in our lives who do we run to first is it a friend or is it our internet help sites. Like a child the first person we should go to is God because he is our father. Do we have faith in God as our father that we can run to him and he shall protect us from anything and anyone? Why did we lose the traits of a child? Why do we find it hard to trust people worse still trust God? We can learn a lot from our childhood, all we have to do is remember.
