Christmas is a state of mind
Where joy and peace are found
Christmas draws us homeward
As we search for a higher ground
We are all headed home
To a city not made by hand
Pilgrims in a country
Where we have to take our stand
Stand up, Stand up, for Jesus
Drink from the cup of life
Waters given freely
Calvary paid the price
We look for a river called Jordan
The waves are calm and still
Jesus leads me over
It is His Father's will
The Promise Land lies yonder
Just across old Jordan’s edge
I see the lights of that city
I have kept the pledge
I'll be in a city of pure peace
Because Jesus set me free
The Holy Ghost taught me how
To stop and bend my knees
Finally Home
After all those miles
I passed each and everyone
Of all those earthly trials
Jesus is the reason
I celebrate all year long
I found my home in him
That is why I sing my song
Jesus is much more than a song
I’ve learned to sing
He is the essence of eternal life
The bells of home do ring.
