Gorgeous spots of brightness
Beside thorny spikes and sand
Little splashes of color
To brighten barren land!
Birds chirping, in the desert-
They don't seem forlorn
Though every thing they sit on
Is covered with sharp thorns.
Our life can be like a desert,
We can look at thorns and sand,
Or see all the flowers and birds
Bringing cheer to a weary land!
It's up to us how we view it.
What a difference in our life,
If we view the bits of beauty,
Not the barreness and strife!
Our God made the desert,
The splashes of beauty there;
How thankful we should be,
For it shows His love and care!
So thank Him in the morning,
As the world sparkles with dew.
There's beauty in each moment,
God's special gift for you!
