My God, my God,
Why have You left me?
I only ask because I’ve had the wind,
Knocked out of me,
I feel so lost,
Like my prayers aren’t reaching You,
I know it’s bad,
But I’ve got to tell the truth.
I feel like though I know You’re there,
That You’re so far away,
And when I need to talk to You,
I don’t know what to say,
But I know You’re still there,
Because I see You in everything,
Though it feels like I can’t reach You,
I know it’s You who makes me sing.
I want so badly,
To be in the throneroom at Your feet,
Worshiping and praising,
Telling You all that I need,
I feel like I have fallen,
Though I know its impossible,
To fall from grace,
You want my joy to be made full.
So now I call upon Your name,
Asking for Your mercy,
I want to look upon Your face,
So Your loving eyes I see,
Lord please forgive me,
Only You know what I’ve done,
In Jesus name I ask it,
Now the battle is won.
Lord I know You healed me,
I just want to thank you,
For Your grace and mercy,
And all the things that you do,
Now Lord, I’m Your servant,
Please use me oh Lord,
To do what You will,
Help me to spread Your word.
I long to serve You Jesus,
Just to do Your will,
In a world grown so cold,
In a world standing still,
Help me to see Lord,
The gifts that I can use,
To get You to the people,
To tell them the truth.
Most of all my Lord,
I want to love You more,
And to see Your will for my life,
To see what’s in store,
I pray you bless my husband,
Help him to understand,
The love and plan You have for him,
Let him take Your hand.
Bless his heart my Father,
With a calming peace,
Give him knowledge and wisdom,
Like You’ve given to me,
Give him understanding of the Word,
That is the truth,
Help us both my Jesus,
To become more like You.
I’m not asking for much,
I just want to feel Your presence,
Get me out of my pride and fear,
Out of my worldliness,
Take my hand and lead me,
Where You’d have me to go,
Just let me feel You Father,
So Your love again I’ll know.
Show me what You’d have me to do,
Teach me so I’ll know the truth,
Speak to me so I can hear you,
Prune me so I’ll bear more fruit,
All of this I ask of You, in Jesus precious name,
AMEN
