When I was hospitalized I had the privilege to pray for a 7 yr. old girl in the end stages of AIDS. Her mother had it when she was carrying her.
I feel God put me in her life for a reason.
As I held the fragile little hand
Tears streamed down my face
Was this really God's plan
To take her from this place
Why had He put me in her life at the end
I couldn't do anything but pray
She had no one, she needed a friend
To care enough to show her the way
I told her of Your glory and grace
I told her of your heavenly home
Then a big smile came across her face
As she waited eagerly for you to come
You blessed us both that day
As she went home with You
You had shown me a new way
And now I know what I must do
May I be able to show your love
To every innocent little one
When you call them above
Right up until my life is done
