and I'm sorry
Sorry to be called
Christ-like
When all my people do
Is belittle people groups
Persecute and call names
like a high school
Clique, cliche
of religion
gone bad, God seems bad
not loving or likely
to forgive, since we don't
nor forget, other's downfalls
cast down, we cast stones
while our sin goes unknown
We're right, you're wrong
our slate white, you're headlong
to Hell
Because you like men
Since you drink beer
and are from Iran
or Iraq, or Afghanistan, wherever
You're not going to Heaven
so why should I care
here, now
about a Hello
a handshake
a friendship
I'm a Christian
and I'm sorry
