Maybe this time He'll get a chance to help. Why not ask Him.
Father! Can You hear me
I flounder in my sin.
My hand reaches out to You
Please, please, pull me in.
So many times I’ve called You
Not heard You in sometime.
Have You given up on me
As You don’t like my kind?
So many times I explain
But words get in the way.
Praying to make things right
Lost for what to say.
So many times You cleanse me
All I can do is fall.
Doesn’t it make You weary
How can You care at all?
So many times I ask You
To forgive my foolishness.
You clean me up and hold me
Then I just make a mess.
So many times I’m trying
With the strength that I have left.
To come to You Heavenly Father
To be held close to Your chest.
So many times You sit there
And You shake your head.
I’m so busy running ‘round
I don’t hear what was said.
So many times You love me
You see beyond my sin.
It’s only when I listen
Can You finally come in.
Why can’t I get it right
To see You love all kinds?
You forgive me when I ask
You do so many times.
