The turbulence and rapture
Kills so many things.
The battle of good and evil
All the death that brings.
Millions would be dying
Some would disappear.
You would lose the presences
Of some you hold so dear.
Now the world thunders
Now the world roars.
But I ask this question.
What was Jesus for?
This makes Him a liar
Looking like a fool.
Salvation He gave us
Is not the standing rule.
Sadness swells around me
If all this comes to past.
Pain and all that suffering
Would last, and last, and last.
I cannot believe this,
God listen to my cry.
All have sinned and fallen
So why should we even try.
You promise all some mercy
All of us the same.
The beast raging in us
You touch and it is tamed.
I think that you love us
Waiting for our prayer.
Raising hope for many
Who might start to care.
I am glad for Jesus
He has opened up the way.
ALL can have redemption
For our lives He Paid.
He stands before Father
Pleading every case.
He knows what God promised
Giving each one grace.
You don’t have to choose
God has just the plan.
You have to love yourself
Then you’ll understand.
For God so loved the world
He gave His only Son.
For those believing in Him
Eternity we’ve won.
John 3:16 paraphrased
