When we receive a gift at Christmas time we may put it on a shelf or it may be something we can use, or like most of us we may want to use a playful gift quickly, and differently. In comparison we also have the freedom to put to work our own selves into Christ's ministry or service when we receive Him. We don't put a gift on the shelf if it can be used or played with, we usually like to use the gift which has been presented to us. God has presented a gift for us to share Jesus' name and gospel to others but for some reason we put Him on the shelf collecting dust, not to be used.
My friends, we are different individuals, therefore we can be used differently for God's service and ministry for the proclamation of the Gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ. Just as we have the freedom of using our gifts we receive at this Christmas time, we also have the freedom under His divine Holy Spirit Leading to choose how to serve our Lord Jesus Christ.
