I am a servant of Jesus Christ, and a writer by God’s call, and set apart for the service of the Gospel…of Jesus Christ our Lord. Through him I received the privilege of a commission in his name, to encourage and challenge readers in all nations who have heard the call and belong to Jesus Christ.
•Lord, as I begin this new day, remind me to realign my priorities to yours. You promised if I put your interests first in my life, you will meet all my needs, including deadlines. By putting your kingdom first, I will spend less time on edits because you already hold the final copy. When I honor you, you will swiftly move my thoughts and fingers toward that final copy.
•Remind me this is the only day I have to bring glory to your name. I will not whine about past rejections, nor daydream about tomorrow. I will take up my writing instrument and write. I ask for your anointing on my words, because iIf you do not bless my work, my labor is in vain.
•Keep me as humble as Jesus, who raised the dead, fed thousands with a few bits of bread and healed countless people, always deferring the glory to you, his father.
God is my witness, the God to whom I offer the humble service of my spirit by writing the gospel of his Son.
(Based on Romans 1:1-9, Matthew 6:33,34 & Psalm 127:1)
