When she came running,
Tears streaming down her face,
Eyes reddened with pain,
Scrapped hands,
Curly red hair,
She hugged my legs,
She held on tight,
Eyes shut,
Crying softly,
As I sat on the bench,
When she looked up,
I grinned,
I took the hurt child,
Sat her on my knees,
I smoothed out her hair,
I kissed her forehead,
I pulled her close,
I held her gently,
Tears began to fall,
As I sat on the bench,
When she cried,
She shook,
Her body trembled,
She leaned against me,
I sang a lullaby,
Sweet soothing music,
I whistled to her,
Then few minutes later,
She sighed,
She calmed down,
Tears slowly stopped,
As I sat on the bench,
When she rubbed her eyes,
I wiped her face,
She smiled,
I laughed,
I gave her a hug,
Then touched her nose,
She giggled,
I put her down,
I sent her back,
She ran to play,
Then turned around,
She smiled at me,
I waved,
As I sat on the bench.
