I see your tender smiling face
feel the warmth of your tender embrace.
I see your eyes now faded blue
an hear your words"I love you".
I watched you mend with such care,
So many kids, so little to wear.
I see yu bent with all the years,
of endless chores an silent tears.
I see your lovely gray hair,
the skin now wrinkled,once was fair.
I see you only in my minds eye
I understand, an I realize.
but I was'nt ready to say goodbye.
With tearful eyes we watched you suffer,
and saw you fade away.
Although we loved you dearly
we could not make you stay
God in his wisdom saw you in distress
Folded you in his arms,
For a long awaited rest..
