Isn’t it ironic
That one can do so much with the little they have
Yet another can do so little with the much they have
Isn’t it ironic
That one needs to go to a far away country to share revival
Yet in our very own country we need revival shared
Isn’t it ironic
That the very same message preached in one nation has so great an impact
Yet when that very same message is preached in our nation has relatively no impact at all
Isn’t it ironic
That God can use one that is so inexperienced to do his work
Yet many who are more experienced fail to do that very same work
Isn’t it ironic
That the good news of the gospel fails to spread when we boast of the latest technologies
Yet the same good news of the gospel can spread like wildfire where infrastructure is almost at its worst
Isn’t it ironic
That we can get so comfortable with life thinking that everything is alright
Yet as compared to the discomforts of life of another, our life is a sheer embarrassment
Isn’t it ironic
That we fail to appreciate the much we have
The things we do not lack
That we fail to thank God for the things we have
And we think we are ok?
Have we become like the ones that Jesus spoke off
Our eyes have become blind
Our ears have become dull
Having eyes but do not see
Having ears but do not hear
Thinking we are clothed in righteousness
Yet all we have is filthy rags
Neither hot nor cold
But we have become lukewarm
Truly a sorry sight
Forsaking our First Love
We have chased after other loves
God
Has our love grown cold
That the hungry soul
No longer moves our heart
Clothed in self righteousness
Yet failing to see our very own nakedness
The life we live falling far short of the abundant life You have promised
If yes, God
Then we need to once again return to our first love
To rent our garments
And seek Your holy face once again
For what a great tragedy it would be
To meet You that one last day
Thinking we are so rich
Yet within us, we are poverty stricken
Then once again
We need that revival in our hearts
That what has grown cold
Will once again burn for the passion of Christ
Who for the glory before Him
Gave His very life for us
That we who are dead in our tresspasses
Can live once again for Him
