God here I am, Iím lost and alone.
Can you be my guide, show me how to get home?
My only desire is to be near to You
To share the thoughts of your heart, to be made wholly new
Then You take hold of my hand,
And, holding it tight, smile down and say,
ďWelcome home, my child, my love.í
And itís Your kind of mercy, and Your kind of grace
That drives me down to my knees,
Makes me fall to my face.
Words cannot express an adequate thanks,
So I thatís why I give my life to You.
Lord, I am weary, broken and bruised.
Refresh my spirit, cleanse me through and through.
Didnít count on it hurting, didnít foresee this pain
Can You strengthen my faith through all of this rain?
So you open your arms,
And, drawing me close, wipe my tears away.
ďRest here, my child, my love.Ē
And itís Your loving healing, and Your loving grace
That consumes my whole being,
Draws me here, to this place.
Words cannot express how much You are,
So Iíll just give my all to You.

Excellent poem. I found the sincerity refreshing and quite reassuring. You're not alone in your struggles and hurts.
Gods grace embraces all fears and doubts. Thanks for writing such a touching piece!
