Has no one ever told you?
Has it never been said?
There’s a path so much better
Than the one on which you tread.
You perform your ceremonies
Stack the wooden altar high
Send your loved one to another life
With the ritualistic goodbye.
The foreigners are watching,
But do you understand?
They want to share with you the one
Who holds us tightly in His hand.
But will your hearts be open
To this single God they share?
Or will your eyes stay blinded,
Trapped by Satan’s ugly snare?
I visit your temples
See the look in your eyes
Am overcome by emotion
Watching the emptiness inside.
Oh, if you only knew
The fullness you’d receive
From the living God above
If you would just believe.
How can I convince you?
Is there anything to say
To show the hope and joy I have
From the One to whom I pray?
Lost ones, lend an ear or two
And listen to my word:
There is a God who loves you—
His name is Jesus, my Savior, my Lord.

Very good. Having just read on the Message Boards your reason for writing this, made it even more heartfelt and meaningful. Made me stop and think, though, that we don't have to travel that far to find people who are just as blind to the saving grace of God. With love, Deb
