Faith
I’ve narrowed it down to two great battles and the second battle helps you focus on the first and greatest battle.
Battle 1
the Battle for Relationships
Battle 2
the battle against busyness (doing too much of the unnecessary) and idleness (doing too little of the important)
Now lets take a journey through time to the beginning. It’s a beautiful day and all is good. Our Lord is walking in the garden and man is walking in the garden. They have a wonderful relationship. God has His place and the man knows his place. Enter the liar and thief. He is about to tell the biggest lie, so that he can steal the greatest treasure (man’s relationship to God). He tells the man, that mankind can switch places with God, and it will be OK. He tells man that God has lied to him. The man throws down his shield (his relationship to God) and the liar and thief thrusts the sword of death into the man. From that point on, man is poisoned and defenseless. With that one lie, the liar and thief also has destroyed man’s relationship with his wife. This continues on, until siblings lose their relationships and so do neighbors. The liar and thief has left all of mankind wounded and dying.
But God comes in and puts the liar and thief in chains and judges him. He proclaims him guilty and gives him the eternal punishment. Because the liar and thief has been judged, mankind has been forgiven and been given a new chance. It is here that God proclaims to mankind, “You have been forgiven but now you must choose sides. You are either for me or against me. If you choose me, I will restore to you, your shield (my relationship to you) and my sword (my Son, which is Christ in you).”
So choose your battles wisely, my friends. Do you want your greatest treasure back (your relationship to God and thereafter your relationship to your neighbors)? This should be your greatest desire. Busyness or idleness will get in the way of this #1 Battle, so they must be eliminated from your life, so that you can focus on your greatest and most rewarding battle.
A life without Love (God) is no life at all.
1 John 4
8 He who does not love does not know God, for God is love. 9 In this the love of God was manifested toward us, that God has sent His only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through Him. 10 In this is love, not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent His Son to be the propitiation for our sins. 11 Beloved, if God so loved us, we also ought to love one another. 12 No one has seen God at any time. If we love one another, God abides in us, and His love has been perfected in us. 13 By this we know that we abide in Him, and He in us, because He has given us of His Spirit. 14 And we have seen and testify that the Father has sent the Son as Savior of the world. 15 Whoever confesses that Jesus is the Son of God, God abides in him, and he in God. 16 And we have known and believed the love that God has for us. God is love, and he who abides in love abides in God, and God in him.
Matthew 22
36 “Teacher, which is the great commandment in the law?” 37 Jesus said to him, “ ‘You shall love the LORD your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind. 38 This is the first and great commandment. 39 And the second is like it: ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself. 40 On these two commandments hang all the Law and the Prophets.”

Deuteronomy 33
27 The eternal God is your refuge, And underneath are the everlasting arms; He will thrust out the enemy from before you, And will say, ‘Destroy!’ 28 Then Israel shall dwell in safety, The fountain of Jacob alone, In a land of grain and new wine; His heavens shall also drop dew.
29 Happy are you, O Israel! Who is like you, a people saved by the LORD, The shield of your help and the sword of your majesty! Your enemies shall submit to you, And you shall tread down their high places.”
Romans 8
37 Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us. 38 For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, 39 nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
Colossians 1
27 To them God willed to make known what are the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles:which is Christ in you, the hope of glory. 28 Him we preach, warning every man and teaching every man in all wisdom, that we may present every man perfect in Christ Jesus. 29 To this end I also labor, striving according to His working which works in me mightily.
John 8
42 Jesus said to them, “If God were your Father, you would love Me, for I proceeded forth and came from God; nor have I come of Myself, but He sent Me. 43 Why do you not understand My speech? Because you are not able to listen to My word. 44 You are of your father the devil, and the desires of your father you want to do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and does not stand in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaks a lie, he speaks from his own resources, for he is a liar and the father of it. 45 But because I tell the truth, you do not believe Me. 46 Which of you convicts Me of sin? And if I tell the truth, why do you not believe Me? 47 He who is of God hears God’s words; therefore you do not hear, because you are not of God.”
John 16
7 Nevertheless I tell you the truth. It is to your advantage that I go away; for if I do not go away, the Helper will not come to you; but if I depart, I will send Him to you. 8 And when He has come, He will convict the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment: 9 of sin, because they do not believe in Me; 10 of righteousness, because I go to My Father and you see Me no more; 11 of judgment, because the ruler of this world is judged.
Revelation 20
10 The devil, who deceived them, was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone where the beast and the false prophet are. And they will be tormented day and night forever and ever.
2 Corinthians 5
17 Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new. 18 Now all things are of God, who has reconciled us to Himself through Jesus Christ, and has given us the ministry of reconciliation, 19 that is, that God was in Christ reconciling the world to Himself, not imputing their trespasses to them, and has committed to us the word of reconciliation. 20 Now then, we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God were pleading through us: we implore you on Christ’s behalf, be reconciled to God. 21 For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.
Psalm 39
6 Surely every man walks about like a shadow; Surely they busy themselves in vain;
He heaps up riches, And does not know who will gather them.
Proverbs 19
15 Laziness casts one into a deep sleep, And an idle person will suffer hunger.
16 He who keeps the commandment keeps his soul, But he who is careless of his ways will die.
Jude 1
Maintain Your Life with God
20 But you, beloved, building yourselves up on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Spirit, 21 keep yourselves in the love of God, looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life.
22 And on some have compassion, making a distinction; 23 but others save with fear, pulling them out of the fire, hating even the garment defiled by the flesh.
24 Now to Him who is able to keep you from stumbling, And to present you faultless
Before the presence of His glory with exceeding joy, 25 To God our Savior, Who alone is wise, Be glory and majesty, Dominion and power, Both now and forever. Amen.

"the battle against busyness (doing too much of the unnecessary) and idleness (doing too little of the important)" You described so well the real battle most of us are confronting daily. Again, what a great reminder to pause and reflect .
