Poetry
Forget not what I have taught,
Keep my commands in mind;
The will of God you sought,
For with them you will find.
They will bring you long life,
Many good years and peace;
And can cope with the strife,
Until the trials cease.
Let not mercy and truth,
Alter your attitude;
Making you be uncouth,
Causing you to be rude.
Fasten them on your neck,
Write them within your heart;
So you can always check,
When needing to impart.
Then you will find favor,
While having success;
And saved by your Savior,
Knowing that He will bless.
Trust the Lord with your heart,
Rely not on your thought;
Letting it not depart,
Thankful for what you got.
Always acknowledge Him,
So your paths will be smooth;
So you will not be grim,
With vigor in the groove.
Think not as being wise,
From evil turn away;
Be cautious of disguise,
For Satan makes you stray.
Your body will be healed,
As your bones are nourished;
With your salvation sealed,
No longer be blemished.
Honor God with your wealth,
Then your barn will be full;
Continue with good health,
Never to be a fool.
