Our Light Affliction
2Co 4:17
For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, worketh for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory;

Hello beloved,
Jesus told us that in this world we will face affliction or trouble. However we should not and never be troubled and weighed down when they surface.
Before I was afflicted I went astray: but now have I kept thy word. Ps 119:67
So long as we are here with the accuser, Satan and his agents, they will come uninvited to tempt or cause an affliction. Apostle Paul says it is a light affliction in comparison to the weight of glory awaiting us.
Why?
It is good for me that I have been afflicted; that I might learn thy statutes. Ps 119:71
Faith thrives on the soil of affliction. The challenges becomes your bread or stepping stones to draw closer to God in keeping of your soul who judges righteously.
Knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience. Jas 1:3
Our light affliction is only for a moment. In description,
It is light ...elaphros..gk, meaning ...easy, ...light,
And that Affliction ...thlipsis..gk, means ...pressure, ....anguish, ....burdened, ...persecution, ....tribulation, ....trouble, ...afflicted.
In other words the momentary pressure or burden should not disturb your relationship with Jesus. He will take care of it if you give it to Him. We do bare needless pain all because we do not carry it to Jesus
For his anger endureth but a moment; in his favour is life: weeping may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning. Ps 30:5
Blessed is the man that endureth temptation: for when he is tried, he shall receive the crown of life, which the Lord hath promised to them that love him. Jas 1:12
Rather that phase of momentary affliction should draw you the more to prayer, duty and communion with Jesus and continuosly thank Jesus for the weight of glory He has given you before and the one He is seeing you through.
In a little wrath I hid my face from thee for a moment; but with everlasting kindness will I have mercy on thee, saith the Lord thy Redeemer. Isa 54:8
Though in the shadow of death, fear not, Jesus is there. Do not loose sight of that. This is the aim of Satan, for you to loose sight of Jesus and to focus on the trouble or affliction and you will sink on the sea of life.
Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us. Rom 8:37
Seeing it is a righteous thing with God to recompense tribulation to them that trouble you; 2 Th 1:6
Whether in good times or in bad times, Jesus is Lord. In both circumstances your Faith must be tested by Satan and that light affliction should work for you an eternal weight of glory.
The God of all grace, who hath called us unto his eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after that ye have suffered a while, make you perfect, stablish, strengthen, settle you. 1Pet 5:10
And I declare!
O God of Israel, recompense tribulation to all those that trouble me in every area of my life in Jesus name.
Every seed and fruit of affliction die by the roots in Jesus name.
Stay blessed.
