To Thee,
O Lord,
I call;
my Rock,
be not deaf
to me.
[Psalms 28:1]
**********************
"It's tough gettin'
old, LORD."

"Yes,
My child."

"You bet.
I wish I had
flossed more,
when I was YOUNGER."

"I understand,
Mein kin'der."

"Yeah.
I take great care
of my teeth...
NOW."

"Hm, hm."

"Flossing must be
the world's most
boring activity
of MANKIND."

"But,
necessary,
My child."

"Yeah.
Most of the
Earth
finds praying
really boring,
too."

[SILENCE.]

"It's TRUE,
LORD!"

"Vey z'mir."

"It's TRUE!
Most people
fall ASLEEP,
while they're
praying!"

[SIGH.]

"Well?
It's so...ONE-SIDED!"

"Like flossing,
Mein kin'der?"

"Yeah!
It's so BORING!
And...you just
end up goin' around
the same TOOTH!"

"I understand,
O precious."

"They make those
little green sticks,
now: with little strings
across them like a
little tooth-guitar."

"Hm, hm."

"If I could play
the guitar,
maybe I could pray
better."

"Heed,
child."

"WHAT?"

"Lest,
you pray
not enough,
and
a cavity
eats into
your
heart."
*******************
The Lord
is my strength
and my shield;
in Him
my heart trusts.
[Psalms 28:7]
