Have you noticed when government has big financial trouble,
The liberals cry out “Raise the taxes” and do it on the double,
But it just so happens increasing our taxes makes our problem worse,
And sows the seeds for job loss and really becomes a curse.
Now the problem is not about taxes but spending run amuck,
And it has put our once great nation in a deep hole where we’re stuck,
But the politicians don’t seem to notice what they regularly repeat,
They vote themselves a pay raise and beat a hasty retreat.
But maybe things are different now and people will agree,
That the causes of problems we face today are easier to see,
And if this is the issue and if we stand for what’s right,
The elected officials will have to face our numbers and our might.
The only way to accomplish our goal is to proclaim before each election,
That if they fail to cut spending we’ll make a different selection,
Oh yes we can send them home and send them home we must,
If what they do fails to deliver what meets the people’s trust.
Elected conservatives also take heed of these words written today,
No longer will we accept only words and political games you play,
For if you are truly conservative and really like where you are,
Just vote your conscience and then you’ll be a truly principled star.
And even the President who is aloof is not beyond our action,
To martial our forces in Tea Party style to protest dissatisfaction,
And this we promise if actions taken are not the right thing to do,
We’ll support our Founding Fathers and in their honor be true.
America must rise up again to what she used to be,
The land of freedom and honor, and the home of liberty,
The flag still flies as a symbol of what we must certainly save,
Our God fearing Land of the Free and the Home of the Brave.
