heart pounding
silent screams
a deep hole
I fall down
down
even farther
inky blackness
eerie solitude
it grows hotter and hotter
till I feel I?m standing
in a huge fire
yet there is no light
my body is in flames
I feel the heat
scorching
searing pain
but I do not burn
tears spill down my face
only to be dried by the
black flames
then I hear a moan
it is quiet
then it grows louder
another voice joins in
and another
groaning
screaming in agony
the darkness prevents me
from seeing where the sounds
are coming from
I can stand it no longer
my voice joins with theirs
I am now a member in this
choir of horror
this symphony of pain
God, have mercy on me!
Save me from this place!
He called to me
and I turned my back
more than once He offered me grace
and love
but I refused His gift
I now suffer the eternal consequences
tortured in a lake of fire
by the devil
the Father of Lies
whose deceiving words and ways
blinded me from the truth
this is a fate far worse than death
do not be tricked by the serpent
keep watch for this thief
who comes only to steal
kill and destroy
do not listen to his lies
or he will blind you
as he did me
and you will fall prey to this
lake of fire
surrounded by inky blackness
scorching flames
searing heat
shrieks and wails
keep watch
do not be deceived
