Poetry
Bigger Than Any Ocean
I have not seen tomorrow
While on this golden shore
But in the present time now given
My eyes have been opened to explore
Great blessings of the earth and sea,
And all the mysterious sacred gifts
Carefully placed within
And around me.
Across miles of outstretched sand
I walk happily in this new hour
With my husband hand-in-hand
As gracious green waves remain
Faithful in their routine …
Softly rocking to and fro
Bathing and baptizing
All things pure
And clean.
I have not seen tomorrow
But know what it holds--
From simple truth
Miracles and proof
Of God’s perpetual love
In and all around us –
Bigger than any ocean
Holy Love that carries us through
Out of the depths of darkness
And into the glorious
One True light
Of Eternal
Days.
