TITLE: My Hero is Jesus Christ

I choose Jesus Christ, as my hero, because He saved my life. Anything good that ever happened to me, I owe it all to Him. Because of Him, I have joy and peace in my life. I used to be depressed and full of anxiety, and low self-worth. I know now, that no matter what, He will always love me, and pull me through. The Bible says, "There is no greater love, than to lay down your life for a friend," No good thing anyone has ever done is anything compared to what my Savior did for me. He has poured so much love into my heart, its spilling out, and I have him to thank.He gave me a brand new life, I feel so alive!
I love the parable about Jesus' friends in the boat, because it was like I was drowning, and my Savior threw me a life preserver. You know what makes my hero so awesome, its that He is everyone's hero! Everyone's life perserver, which I hope and pray they grab a hold of, before its too late. Jesus died for the sins of all mankind. I think about how painful and hard that must have been for Him, carrying that cross up the hill, as they tortured Him, and he didn't focus on their hate, he didn't quit, all Jesus thought about was his love for us, he saw past our sin, and saw our need. I plan to do the same, and give Him glory and honor all the days of my life. When following in His footsteps gets hard, I am going to see past the pain, and see the need, and think about my love for Him.Whenever I want to feel sorry for myself, I am going to think of the cross, and I bet, I will stop dead in my tracks.Its Jesus that turns everyday people into hereos. Because of us knowing He has our life in the palm of His hands, we could leave our worries to Him, and instead of being so preoccupied with our own lives, he gives us the strength, in the midst of our storms, to extend a hug, or a listening ear to someone who needs it. He helps us love the unlovable, people who are difficult to communicate with, we, with the help of Jesus Christ, can see them as hurting and in need of a Savior, so we can lead them, rather than, hate them, or ignore them,because they are mean. Jesus helps us love the unlovable, so all could receive His touch through us. We need to shine the light, so others could come to know Him through us. Even when you feel no one notices, no one cares, Jesus always notices, always listening, always cares. It may seem like there is no light at the end of your storm, trust in Him, not in what you see, He is working it out! God bless you!
