The glory of sunset,
Ribbons of color, blending and swirling,
To fade away before the arrival
Of troupes of dancing stars under
The tutelage of the moon
To light the night sky . . .
Snowy caps on giant mountains . . .
Endless ocean’s waves of foam,
Rolling ceaselessly to-and-fro,
In God-appointed rhythm . . .
Newborn baby,
Perfection in beauty and innocence -
Child of my child,
Continuing God’s ordination
Of my family.
I read in the Holy Word the promises:
Of Jesus, sent by His Father,
To die for my sins,
As well as those of all mankind,
That we might spend eternity in heaven . . .
Of angels sent to protect me
And rejoice with me in my salvation . . .
Of the Holy Spirit, sent by the Lord,
To live within me and guide me,
Always in right paths . . .
Of God’s love that will never
From me, separate,
Not anytime, not anywhere.
My love overflows in return
To Him who loves me so and requires that
I love Him fully and worship only Him.
This great God of the universe
Commands that I love others.
How could I not?
