On my heart
So that shame would no longer rock
My world
No one to mock
No one to say my innermost thoughts
were a crock
No one to gawk
at my hurt
The pain that would spurt
From my heart
On my hopes I put a lock
Firmly mooring them
To the dock
Of my dead dreams
It seems
the lock
Is the only way
To be safe
But the lock is so lonely
I have only
To accept the key
To be free
To loose the lock
I need that key
The secret to finally
Setting me free
The pain is so much!
I so need a touch
From God
The memories
Cause my mind to go reeling
I cry out to Jesus for healing
From the shame
And the blame
He touches my heart
He heals my soul
The hole
in my heart
Is no longer there
And the lock is no more
I’m free
