I would be tempted to curse
But I know better than that
Instead, I pray for God’s aid
Like my puppies I yelp
For HELP!
Several days go by
As hard as I try
I cannot find that purse
After looking everywhere
Close to pulling my hair
Out
I want to shout
With frustration
My purse seems to be hopelessly lost.
And I begin to count the cost.
Of replacing everything
And then
One day I’m sitting on my couch
I give a stare
Over there
Could it be?
Do I see?
The colorful strap
Of my purse?
Oh yes!
The lost is found
I want to pound
The couch with joy
It’s on my birthday yet
How could things get
Any better?
The goodness of my King
Will always bring
Me to worship
Another glorious Arizona sky.
Artists could try
to copy
But the real thing
Will always bring
Me to worship
There are sermons I have heard
That truly show His beautiful word
And it always brings me to worship
His kindness
His love
His blessings from above
Always bring me to worship,
