I am thankful to God for His faithfulness. I attended a Bible-believing church on my first Sunday in Canada, and I remain part of that church after 35 years, demonstrating His steadfastness.
Many of the brethren who left my country and came to Canada departed from the faith because the freedom to do their 'own thing' in Canada captured them and led them astray, and they eventually left the way of salvation.
We often think of them as the scripture says in (1 John 2:19, NKJV), 'They went out from us, but they were not of us; for if they had been of us, they would have continued with us; but they went out that they might be made manifest, that none of them were of us.'
We should not be judgmental, but we should pray earnestly for those who have departed, trusting in God's mighty power to transform hearts and bring them back to salvation. His mercy and grace are greater than our doubts, and we can have hope in His ability to restore even the lost.
We who have remained in the faith should actively support and encourage those who have been led astray through outreach and fellowship, helping them find their way back to God's path. We should never give up on them because God's grace is sufficient to bring them back to Him.
One day, we will all praise the Lord for His goodness and mercy, comforted by the hope of eternal life and the assurance of being with Him forever.
And as the scripture declares in (Thessalonians 4:17 NKJV), 'Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And thus, we shall always be with the Lord.'
