Which to do?
Which notion is true?
Joseph had a challenge with Potiphar’s wife
One of many challenges
In his young life
With her morals running free
She said, “Come and lie with me.”
He slid the bolt on his soul
To keep his integrity whole
He stood strong and firm
And did not even squirm
For he had slid the bolt
When she refused his “No”
He knew then that he must go!
He realized with a jolt
That he must bolt!
Each of us have our own Potiphar’s wife
Who comes to us in each stage of life
Temptation comes our way
And covertly tries to sway
Our integrity
We slide the bolt on our soul
To keep our integrity whole
We must stand firm
And not even squirm
For we have slid the bolt.
When temptation is too much
And sin is at the door
And we find we can resist it no more
We realize with a jolt
That we must bolt!
When to stand?
When to run?
Which to do?
Which notion is true?
God will lead
God will guide
God will be there
By your side
