Had they blundered
In going to this obscure stable?
What made this stable different
Than all other stables
Was the Messiah really going to come and turn the tables
On the Romans?
Would the Messiah ever come
To get rid of the Roman scum
That infested the land
For oh so long
Things had gone wrong
For Israel
The people wondered and prayed
As they endured another Roman raid
Of all they had
Was the Messiah just one of many fables
Or would he really come and turn the tables
On their foes
Their hopes rose
Since the fall of creation
Where it seemed Satan did win
Man had been waiting for a Savior
The return of God’s favor
Jesus, Messiah, come to earth
To this stable where Mary gave birth
This being called Lucifer or Satan amongst other labels
The time had come
To turn the tables
On him
Christ did win!
