Battling the eraser
Of my hopes and dreams
I fight his schemes
For I serve the great Dreamer
Who dreamed up the earth
Who gave us all worth
And even gave his life for us.
It’s worth all the fuss.
Will I be able to take the stage
And escape the cage
Of fear?
But God is near!
My book of monologues
Will be a best seller
And get me out of the celler
Of lost hopes
And dreams
But at times it seems
So hopeless
For years I’ve been chasing my dreams
But always it seems
This dream chaser comes up empty handed
But I’ve always landed
On my feet
Refusing defeat
For I don’t chase my dreams alone
The Giver of my dreams
Has given me a life that teems
With joy and hope
Even though sometimes I grope
to find it
For I serve the great Dreamer
Who dreamed up the earth
Who gave us all worth
And even gave his life for us.
It’s worth all the fuss.
