Years ago every week I would see
The perfect family on my tv

O to be a Tanner

To have every problem solved in half an hour
Oh such power

O to be a Tanner

Dj
Stephanie
And little Michelle

Each of them had cast a spell
On my heart
And they all were all so smart!

“Oh how rude”
And “you got it dude”
Those young girls warmed my heart
As I saw each of them play their part

Danny was the wise dad
And Joey was funny
But the best one for my money
Was the handsome “Uncle Jesse”

But how much better than being a Tanner
Is to be a Child of the King
Oh let my heart sing!

The problems that come
May be troublesome

But if I may quote another show
That aired so many years ago
In this truth I can rest
My heavenly “Father Knows Best”

And I say No
To being a Tanner

Well written, with a light touch, but any readers who have never seen Full House may struggle to see your connection to the topic.

This is a sweet poem. It brought back many memories. I'm not sure if using the last name of Tanner totally fits the topic as it's meant, but I think this is a tough topic week and you made me smile, which is a great thing for a writer to do.
