And He recorded the length of my days
On earth in His eternal book.
He was the One who formed me,
Body, soul, and spirit,
Within my mother’s womb.
I marvel at His precious thoughts of me,
More in number than I can count.
He has engraved me on the palms of His hands.
Even the hairs of my head were numbered by Him.
God showed at the first His love for me
By sending His Son to die in my place
That I might be forgiven and redeemed.
How wide, how long, how, high, how deep
Is His never-ending love,
And there is no power anywhere
That can ever separate His love
From Christ Jesus in me.
As He was with me at the beginning,
So will He be at the end.
My death, as one of His saints,
Will be to Him, precious.
Because His promises never fail,
I will live forever in heaven with the Lord
In the home that He prepared for me.
These thoughts are too wonderful
For me to fully comprehend.
