Is meek weak?

Is it meek to turn a blind eye
And let the dream die

Dies meekness mean
to lean
in the direction of the crowd
To do only what's allowed

To let others push you around
To always refuse to stand your ground

To never speak up
Never be loud
Never stand
against the crowd

But Moses was the meekest man on earth!
But he didn't let Pharoah diminish his worth

He stood against Pharoah
said let my people go
how can that be meek
Oh Lord your wisdom I seek

On the cross
Christ was meek
Turned the other cheek

Went to the cross
enduring the loss
of his life
not causing strife

If Jesus says
blessed are the meek
Then that's the direction I want to seek

I seek God's wisdom
I seek Him as my guide
I don't ever want to hide
from His will

Let His blessings spill
all over my life

Meekness is strength under control
And that's the role
I want to play
Every day

Blessed are the meek
But they are not weak
You have to be strong
To get along

I trust the Lord
I'm always on board
with how He wants me to act
And that's a fact!

His blessings are endless
His blessing are real
And with Him there's no doubt
I always feel
loved

Meekness is not easy to achieve
But here are the things I always do believe

No matter how hard
No matter the challenge
I can do everything
With the help of the King

Blessed are the meek
And so I will seek
to be meek

Always following God's leading
Always heeding
his voice

It's the right choice!

If it pleases you Lord
Then I'm on board

It's not easy I know
but I want to flow
in His river of grace
Put a smile on His face

Lord, I want to be Your kind of meek
That's the goal I always seek.
Because meek is not weak.

This is a thought-provoking poem. When I first saw the topic, I thought of it as a bad thing, but asked a friend and she thought it a good thing. I can definitely relate to your piece. You were spot on topic and delivered a clear message.

I can totally relate to this. Being meek is a challenge we all strive to attain. Some of us achieve it, while others utterly fail.

Being meek is a goal I always strive to be. And I'm not very good at it. Pride rears its ugly head sometimes.

Regardless, this is very thought-provoking. Thank you for it. I hope it does well.
