No matter how you try,
Is when you get that final call
To say a last good-bye.
For stories you have yet to tell,
The clock will not stand still.
You fear that memories you share,
A distance will distill.
It seems the hardest part of all
For family so dear,
Is knowing that in coming days
They’ll be no longer here.
And friends that you have cherished long,
The kind you cannot buy,
The love and loyalty they had,
You’ll think of with a sigh.
For all the future plans you’ve made
With friends or family,
They’ll never be completed now.
They’re part of history.
For times when sadness overwhelms,
There’s comfort to be found.
God understands your heart’s great loss,
And His grace will abound.
And when you feel consumed with grief,
There’s no need to be bitter.
Believers-all are heaven bound.
That’s awesome to consider.
