I am a child of the living God

You may want to keep me quiet

But I know who I am

I am forgiven and blessed

You may wish me to stay silent and a mess

But I know the power of the spoken word

My God is Love and Love is my God

You may demand I be more specific

But I’m just quoting Him

I’m allowed to say it aloud

The Creator of the Universe took on flesh

You may think it’s crazy and impossible

But I’m convinced Jesus is God

I’m allowed to say it aloud

One day this world is going to end

You may hope I’m wrong my friend

But look around it’s not pretend

This is a stunning piece that really spoke to my heart. I enjoyed the repetition. It fit perfectly and moved the message along. You did a great job of making both words a central part of the piece.

This is great. It was a delight to pick up the rhythm and join in. I have a feeling I'll be singing 'I'm allowed to say it aloud' quite often today :).
