While changes it foresees,
From green and leafy bowers
To brightest leaves on trees.
The kids are back in classrooms now,
Although reluctantly.
They’re glad to see their friends again,
Yet missing being free.
October days are cooler still.
Warm jackets make the scene,
And little ones can hardly wait
Until it’s Halloween.
November brings gray gusty winds,
Replacing autumn breezes.
An icy air does it prepare
To introduce its freezes.
The bitter days are warmer with
A cozy fireplace.
Thanksgiving is a day of joy
To celebrate God’s grace.
December is a month most bleak,
Devoid of warmth and cheer,
But it becomes a merry month
As Christmas time draws near.
In January, comes fresh snow
That’s new, just like the year,
And children freeze their little toes,
In spite of warmest gear.
In February, cold still clings
While people wish for spring
To quickly come, remove the chill,
And brighten everything.
