Previous Challenge Entry (Level 4 – Masters)
Topic: LOCKED (10/27/22)
I went to my favorite restaurant, but there were no cars parked out front. “That’s odd,” I thought. “I was here just last week.” I got out and went to the front door to find it locked with a sign on the front that said, “Closed for Repairs.” No barbecue ribs for me today!

As I walked back to the car, I wondered about some of the repairs I might be needing, like maybe, stronger eyeglasses and perhaps, some hearing aids. I Imagine that a few tests might reveal a need for a medication change for blood pressure, as well some added for other problems. I do not use a cane, nor do I anticipate getting one, but I have no certainly there is not one in my future. Still, there’s no need to lock me up for repairs just yet.

My thoughts turned to God. Unlike buildings and bodies that may need repairs, Holy God is wholly perfect. He does not lock us out, and His door is always open to our prayers. He promised He would never leave us or forsake us, but He would be with us always. I’m glad I have the surety of His presence with never a locked door between us.

This is an interesting piece. If you added some Scripture verses and a prayer, it would make an awesome devotion. You did a great job of writing on topic and giving the reader some food for thought.
